Alot of our customers ask this question,and its definitely a great question to ask if you wear extensions or any type of human hair, wigs or hairpieces. I can’t think of a factory, vendor or supplier that will openly admit to selling NON-Remy hair, but the TRUTH is….its being sold all day long and you will know it in a short time after wearing it.
NON-Remy hair is donor hair, no doubt. How the hair is collected is where the problems start. This hair is collected from donors and thrown into piles with other hair that is gathered for hair extension production. The issue is, there is no care taken to ensure the cuticles of the hair from each donor remains aligned. The results from this type of collection will ultimately cause tangling and matting. The collectors and hair processors are aware of these issues so in order to sell the hair and make it appear as top quality, the hair is soaked in acid to strip the cuticles, then silicone is applied to the hair where the cuticles previously were. This process gives the unaligned hair a smooth soft finish that looks and feels like true Remy hair.
This hair can be cheap or very expensive. People are constantly being fooled, under the impression they have some of the best quality hair available. Once the hair is washed and the silicone wears off, that NON- Remy hair you been rocking starts  to tangle, matt, shed and dry excessively. There is nothing cool about trying to detangle NON-Remy hair. You are now left in a pickle, fighting  with the unruly monkey sitting on your head or in your kitchen sink.
